Good, Honest Music

That’s the genre that Warren Mendonsa has categorized the music from his album Nights In Shining Karma. And its certainly that, and also delightfully difficult to classify. I’d not heard of him before, nor of the Bombay-based bad Zero of which he’s the guitarist - that should give you some clue of the generation to which I belong? :o)

Read about BlackStratBlues on Vikas’s blog Chords Of Life, and since the music begins to play pretty much from the home-page onwards, you’ll get enough time to figure out how it works for you. And as I said, don’t bother trying to classify - I heard stuff that reminded me of Floyd, Deep Purple, Guitar Prasanna….. the sounds ranged from amazing blues, to rock, to a violin/bagpipe gig…. and it still was original, imaginative, …. and just outstanding! And the icing on the cake - the whole album is available for download!!

And as Vikas has pointed out, the production values are just world-class! Thanks for the music Warren, looking forward to more….. with a request stemming from my personal idiosyncrasy - an Indian sound or base or theme, if such a thing is possible? :o)
