I did not know Sunil when he walked this Earth, but have come to know his family, since then. From every thing I've read on him and of his writings, I am sure, if I had known him, we would've been friends.

Thank you for a very well-written post. And, thank you, also for the "Hindi mein bol" gem. I surely intend to put it to work...

Dear amenon,

Thank you so much for your very moving and well-written blog entry to the memory of Sunil Mehta. He was a year senior to me in college and we were good friends. Since I am overseas now, I only heard unexpectedly of his death just yesterday.I am still in a state of shock .
When I googled information of his sad demise, it threw up your blog entry. I am glad to have read it as it brought back personal memories for me of his razor-sharp mind which had the clinical ability to cut through all clutter and see issues in their sheer clarity. This was a very very tragic and untimely demise. He had wisdom ahead of his years but he also had many many years more to give to industry and his family.

He will sorely be missed by each and everyone who knew him whether earlier or later, in his short but brilliant life. May his soul rest in peace.

your posting resonated too nandkumar, and brought back memories. and from the comment on your site, there will be many others who will fondly remember sunil. and even more who will benefit from his having been there, even though they may not do this.

i suppose this is one measure of whether a life has been well-lived - how many people have been positively impacted by you.

and i must also thank you for pointing me to sunil's blog.
