yo surekha, thanks for the blog-post! :o)

for some strange reason, i seem to switch off visual expectation when it comes to the oldies. and yet, there are the complete gems even among them! personally, among my biggest visual disappointments is what's been done to the track 'zara zara'... considering the completely painful nature of the film itself, i was hanging around only to see how this track had been treated.... and i threw up! :o)

gotcha on dmb (loved oh, located and listened after reading your post with the lyrics) and ms mohapatra. and please keep the reccos coming!!!

oh yes i totally agree!

Admittedly, beedi came across as a crass sitting on buffalo kind of number at first, but one morning i got up wanting just to listen to that song over and over:D and played it on loop the whole weekend ;)

N O saathi re is something else!...havent heard a song with similar intensity and with that heart tugging mixture of as much cuteness (of lyrics: kabhi kabhi yun kare main daantu aur tum darna......ugal pade aankhon se feenke paani ka jharna) and love, as this one; (cuteness wise,
btw check out 'let you down' by Dave Matthews Band, tuff to beat these guys;) I got no lid upon my head but if i did, you could look inside and see whats on my mind)...

do agree also that the visuals could not quite capture the intensity of the song.. but then dont we all have our own visuals no one can better[;)]

In Fact, i HAVE felt cheated after listening to amazingly beautiful sounds and lyrics, esp of some of the Mohd Rafi numbers of my dads time, when id find the visual had a jeetender or a rajender kumar:P; with hideous clothes or looks:P trying lamely to profess love while the heroin accepts because its her job to smile and say yes:P

Should also check out this interesting song by Sona Mohapatra called Abhi Nahi Aana... some one to look out for!

Hehe, i think i wrote a blog post only:D
